An Autumnal picture of one of France's great rivers, The Baise is a river in south-western France starting in the foothills of the Pyrenees near Lannemezan and flows north, with tributatries in Laverdac and Nerac.
Both towns are locations that Sir William chose for his paintings, and limited editions were published:-
