"Consuelo is Spanish for consolation, comfort and joy;
Consuelito is the female diminuative given as a Christian name to girls;
Sir William invariable referred to Carmona as Cnsuelito, but Frost and Reed published the work with the erroneous title 'Studies of Consuelo Carmona'.
Consuelo is a female given name meaning 'solace' or 'consolation' in Spanish (a reference to Mary, mother of Jesus, Nuestra Senora del Consuelo i.e. Our Lady of Consolation).
