The castle in Chazelet is still standing. I understand it is nolonger possible to visit,
but undoubtedly the vaulted room in which Russell Flint produced this painting, remains the same today, as it was in 1956.
Chazelet is in Indre department in France, on the edge of the 'Parc naturel regional de la Brenne'.
One hour drive north from Limoges (approx. 100 km.)
'The Four Sisters, Chazelet' is regarded as one of Russell Flint's finest paintings, and not unsimilar to the original painting he produced for his housekeeper.
