A beautiful portrait of Cecilia admiring some of the jewelry in the jewel box.
This painting was one of the first publications by Susan Russell Flint, the daughter-in-law of Sir William Russell Flint.
The edition was kept relatively low to retain the value.
and a beautiful wash/line mount was included with the print to compliment the colours in the painting, together with a burgundy french binding.
Although this is a studio composition, Russell Flint spent much of his time travelling across France and produced many fine paintings as a result.
Many would have images of Cecilia adorning various rural french locations, that would be added later at The Peel Street studio..
