This water colour not to be confused with another fine piece from Sir Willima Russell Flints The Balance
uses light colours and an offset subject which helps lend itself to the act of balancing being portrayed as the subject attempts to balance on a boat in the river.
This is rather different to The Balance which is a depiction of a model balancing a large basket on her head.
