The setting for this painting was the village of La Bastide-d'Engras, just north of Uzes in the department of Gard, France.
This original watercolour painting was published as a signed, limited edition print in 1970
Lavoir la Bastide, one of the last editions to be signed by Sir William Russell Flint,
and it has always been regarded as one of his most sought after paintings.
