Francis Murray Russell Flint, born 3rd June, 1915
His father was Sir William Russell Flint,
Brantome is a town in the south west of France, it has a high tourist population in summer as it is very picturesque with the central monastry built in white stone.
The small town is full of art shops, boulangeries, cafes, patisseries, and there is ample space to sit by the river and enjoy a picnic.
Tge town of Bourdeilles is a small distance to the west of Brantome, and well worth a visit.
Russell Flint spent some time there and we have one of his original paintings "Bourdelles sur Donne".
