The Sprinboard is similar in many ways to Northern Waters, both pproduced by the same publisher W. Stacey in 1939
This print is eighty plus years old, and I suspect most of the edition has now been lost, destroyed or badly faded..
To find this title in mint condition is virtually an impossible task.
Published at the begining of the second world war, as Hitler began his reign of devastation across Europe.
There must have been a tense, uneasy atmosphere across the country.
Difficult to say exactly where the scene was paintinted, but I would imagine on the north east coast near Bamburgh,
The water looks a bit chilly!
