"Once I painted a big watercolour of five girls ski-ing on the practice slopes of Flims in the Engadine. One girl posed for all five.
Long years after, when my one-time model had become a distinguished physician's wife, her lawyer-brother saw the picture in the house.
He peered closely at it, placed a forefinger over one of the figures, turned to his sister and said rather accusingly, 'That's you'.
'Yes', she replied, 'that's me. They're all me'.
'Don't be a fool', said the big lawyer-brother, how could they be?'
